Regular Members are locksmiths working "in-house."
We're licensed (where required).
We belong to various unions (or none).
We work for various departments at our employers:
We do not compete with each other in any respect because:
Meetings usually are called to order about 6:15 PM, and a presentation of about an hour is usually made by one of our corporate members, generally presenting new or improved products. Because of our positions, grade 1 hardware is normally featured. Dinner is then served (free to members), followed by association business. A raffle is sometimes held, prizes donated by the meeting sponsor. Adjournment is around 8:30 PM. Time is available before, during and after the meeting to talk to other locksmiths, representatives and manufacturers.
Other benefits include an email forward to your email address from your association address (your_name@locksmith.org), and access to the Members area of the web site for other members' email addresses, details of upcoming events, etc.
From our bylaws: we are dedicated to the improvement of our profession; we strive to educate and update ourselves for our own benefit and for the benefit of our institutions. We encourage good fellowship among members by interchange of experiences and special knowledge.Corporate Members are manufacturers, manufacturer's representatives, and distributors of security hardware and locksmith supplies (this includes anything that locksmiths use or maintain, from hand tools and door hardware to alarm and CCTV systems). They have the opportunity to talk with members at all meetings, and when they sponsor a meeting they have a hour presentation of their products and/or services. They also receive a listing on our corporate member page.If you're working as an in-house locksmith, won't you join us?
Please come to one of our meetings. Qualified individuals are invited to apply for membership.
